The Green Hornet
Rating: Pretty Damn Good
Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. If you’re looking for a good comedy to check out; “The Green Hornet” is your movie, I could not stop laughing and the entire theater audience was no different.
What you’ll love:
-Seth Rogan is hilarious in this one, some of his movies lately haven’t been super funny, if not bland, but this one, I just couldn’t stop laughing, and I went with four people, all who liked completely different types of movies and they all agreed, it was hilarious.
-Cool concepts, the way they show how it feels to be in a moment of an adrenaline rush, the weapons, it was all very clever
-It’s got the guy who played the “Jew Hunter” in Inglorious Bastards as the villain, he’s great, even the style of villain was unique
What you may not like:
-The 3D isn’t even really 3D, not much jumps out at you, this I was very disappointed with
-Some of it is kind of “cheap humor” and cuts into the rest of the comedy style
-You can barely understand Kato (this is also part of the joke, but some people seemed annoyed, straining to understand what he was saying, I didn’t mind, and neither did my guests)
Overall I was impressed, I thought the movie looked stupid when I saw the commercial, but it was actually really good. I plan on buying it on DVD, for as much as 20, I may even see it again with other friends just because I could use a good laugh again. Definitely worth the ticket price. However, I didn’t check it out in IMAX, so I don’t know if their 3D is any better, (comment if you saw it in IMAX 3D, that’d be appreciated) but the movie theater “Real 3D” was totally lame, not worth the extra cost at all unfortunately, since there was plenty of opportunity to have things fly into the camera instead of past it and they just didn’t bother.
