The Very First Kiss: Poetry

Very First Kiss, by Kephra Rubin

Very First Kiss

The Very First Kiss

Unbearable, tension building more and more

What’s in store?
What is it you’re waiting for?
You know what it is…

Drawing close, standing near
Breath shortens, you smell so good
You smell… sooooo… good…
The world fades away
We draw close, embrace

Deep breath in, gasp for air
Stroke harder, pull away
Pause.
Eyes lock with yours.

Gaze, penetrating
Many claimed to penetrate in the past
But here there’s something so different
Because it lasts

Pulsating through your skin
Feel it on your mouth and more

Hot breath dances across the surface of your soul

Through your body, it starts from your neck
Trails down between your breasts
Careful not to touch

Trails down the surface of your stomach,

Over your belly button

You ache, deep into the pit of your stomach
Your body begs for more
Yearning for our lips to touch,

So close it’s so real, it’s almost something you can feel

I bring my mouth closer and closer,
Tracing my way gently over your skin, barely touching,
lightly stroking

Shiver, anticipation reverberating deeply inside

Caressing and teasing your lips with mine
My fingers run through your hair
Electricity everywhere
The rush as I grasp your body and bring it close
Control it firm and don’t let go
My arms around your waist
Tell your body where to stay

Feeling me pressed hard against you,

Dreaming of the only thing this moment can desire
Rising like the heat from a thousand fires, passion burns your lips
The tingling surge of electricity weakens your knees and lightens your heart.
On fire, in need, lips quiver, they demand to be touched
And it’s because of that very sensation that…

You wait to be touched,

Our very first kiss.
